Vampire Application

General questions:

1. What comes to your mind when the word vampire arises? What is a vampire in a human view and what is it from a vampire's own view? How different are standard folklore and World of Darkness vampires?
When vampire arises, I imagine him getting out of torpor state or from incapacitated state. In human view, vampires are imaginative creatures in folklore or some tales and vampires consider themselves as Kindred or as predators that consider most of humans their prey for survival. Standard folklore tells us that vampires fear garlic, can't cross running water, can be killed by wooden stake and fear light or sun. Partly it's true, there are flaws regarding garlic and running water, but they can't be killed by wooden stake. They can be paralyzed, if wooden stake hits heart. They don't fear light, but they fear fire and sun and vampires without Fortitude (specified to Generation level) cannot stand the sunlight. Alternatively, cWoD shows clinically dead creatures with their own Clans and Bloodlines, their powers which called Disciplines and vampire's beast inside of them.

2. What kind of consequences could possibly arise were a vampire be outed to the general public? What sort of action would be taken by various governments and the people? For this reason, do you think vampires should take the chance of coming out clean or should they rather stay hidden? There will be really bad consequences in this case. If vampire will outrightly walk around with feral claws and super speed, hunters will hunt him down. In some cases,  it is being dealt with Society of Leopold (that doesn't really exists for current time here). Government will bring army and everyone, then upon successful torporing or ashing vampire, they'll check everything regarding him, their vulnerabilities and this small fault can lead into huge Masquerade breach that'll cost with lives of whole society of vampires. Vampires should stay hidden whenever it is possible and stay clean to avoid being suspected for being something paranormal.

3. What are The Traditions? Who enforces them and how do the vampires view it? The Traditions are fundamental laws of Kindred society and it is created by first generation vampire (or first vampire) Caine.

There are basic six rules:

Masquerade: Hide the existence of vampires. Self explanatory. Don't reveal yourself to mortals and blend in human society.

Domain: A kindred's hunting ground is his own territory and he rules it completely. Simply, if you're not allowed to enter some Domain, then you can't and shouldn't. In this case, you are on your own.

Progeny: Sire only with permission of elders. You cannot embrace anyone and make them vampire without a permission from elder.

Hospitality: Honor the domains of others and present yourself to the ruler of domain you enter. Simply, if Los Santos is taken by Camarilla, you go to it's Prince or ruler of domain, you must introduce yourself to him.

Destruction: The right to kill Kindred is reserved for the Elder of a community, only an elder can call a blood hunt. You cannot kill another vampires, if you don't have permission from elders.

Traditionally, they are enforced by Camarilla. Most of vampires view it normally, but most of Sabbat is breaking every it's rule.

4. What is a Clan?

A Clan is a term used to describe a group of people that share common characteristics. Officially, there are thirteen major clans, which are founded by an Antediluvian.

Assamite - hitman, masters of assassination, ritualists.

Brujah - kings of an ancient civilization, hotheaded and more inclined towards frenzy. Perfect fighters.

Followers of Set - protectors of ancient artifacts.

Gangrel - bestial and untamed. They are closer to forests, more animalistic.

Giovanni - something like typical mafia family who are making somewhat of commanding the dead.

Lasombra - masters of shadow, proud nobles.

Malkavian - insane people with amazing perception.

Nosferatu - espionage is their second name, disfigured by the embrace, living in sewers, but keeping information they collect.

Ravnos - tricksters and nomads, who can make others see what's not real, creating illusions. They are slaves to their own vices to steal.

Toreador - romantics, physical beauty and adoration.

Tremere - vampiric sorcerers who came from mages.

Tzimisce - they can manipulate flesh and bone.

Ventrue - born leaders, noblesse oblige of vampire society.

5. What is a Bloodline?

Bloodline is a term used to describe group of Kindred who share a common lineage. People with inherent or unique distinction from thirteen major clans. One of them are Caitiffs (clanless), something went very wrong in their Embrace and they became clanless. Long story short, bloodline is a clan inside of a clan.

6. What sort of process is an embrace? What's diablerie? Why are both of these practices so commonly heard about? What's the view on these two?

Embrace is process of turning a mortal into undead creature - vampire. Sire drains blood off his target and replaces it with his own and turns him into a vampire. Diablerie (Amaranth) is a process of draining blood of lower Generation in-order to get lower Generation. Simply, a fledgling diableries on an elder and becomes more powerful due to potent elder blood. Of course, first one needs permission, aka Progeny. Camarilla highly disagrees diablerie, as it is even worst than death. Soul of target is stuck inside of it's host. There might be changes in mentality after it. Camarilla sometimes can turn a blind eye to it, but Sabbat doesn't really care about it, as they are doing it more often.

7. What are the vampire generations? How far do they stray from the original? What are these generations? Does generation measurement exist within the society?

Generation is a term used to describe distance from first vampire to a current vampire. First generation vampire is Caine that got cursed by a God for killing his only one and own brother Abel. Higher generation than weaker link between Caine and vampire.

1st generation: Caine. First vampire ever made.

2nd generation: Caine embraced only three childer and they were sires of antediluvians.

3rd generation: There were 13 antediluvians, each of them clan founders of 13 major clans.

4th-5th generation(s): Also called Methuselahs, they almost have same power as their sires, their age is greatest weakness.

6th-7th generation(s): Elders of modern vampire society, younger than Methuselahs they still are elders of vampires.

8th-9th generation(s): Balance between elders and young vampires, they are most visible in 14th centuries.

10th-11th generation(s): They are young, but Caine's blood still flows in their veins, means they are same vampires, as others.

12th-13th generation(s): Fledgling and neonates, they are not strong in vampire society, but are stronger than most of mortals, dominating them with their powers.

14th-15th generation(s): Thin-blooded vampires, they are considered as a joke in current vampire society.

16th generation: Everyone thought that 15th was highest generation, but number of 16th generation is rising and rising with intense power.

8. What are the two notable Anarch Revolts? What sort of effect did they have upon the vampires? Two notable Anarch Revolts are: First Anarch Revolt or so they call it - the Great Revolt and second one in 20th century.
Results of first one led into Camarilla's peace with Giovanni clan.
Results of second one led into Prince's death and elders (who were not killed) fled Los Angeles, anarchs moved into San Diego and attempted to liberate San Francisco.

Character creation:

Name: Alexander William Parker. (Alex_William_Parker).
Age: 20.
Apparent Age: 15.
Clan/Bloodline: Caitiff (clanless).
Sect: Camarilla.
Generation: 12th.

Character Story:(Min. 300 words, Max. 3000)

Alexander William Parker is born in London at 17th December, 1984. At age of six, he went into fighting exercises for youngsters, where he learnt very basics of brawlery. At age of eleven, he and his family, along with brother were robbed and their parents were killed when house was burnt down by thugs. They went to live to their aunt. Afterwards, Alexander continued practising in athletics and brawlery. At age of fourteen, he arrived to Palomino Creek, where he was arrested a lot of times for doing crimes. Alex gave up on his life and went living in sewers..

Alexander was roaming around the sewers, climbing up onto pipe and resting there. He saw a shadow of a person in distance and some light. He was really curious about what's going on. He went towards it's direction and heard something fall behind him. He instantly turned around, spotting a flashlight. He picked it up and observed it. He saw some blood onto it, he dropped it down upon seeing blood, as he wanted to run away from this place. He tried to run, but someone patted him onto his back. He turned around and got hit in the face. That hit got him knocked out instantly, as his vision went blurry, falling down at the ground at his back.

His body was dragged to forest in wooden hatch. He dropped him down, as reckless vampire began to feed onto him, almost draining his blood to the end. He said to himself: "Let's see what my blood will do to this kid..". He fed him his blood. In few moments, he woke up extremely hungry. He saw nothing, but a deer passing by. He couldn't resist urge not to feed onto it. He jumped at it, mercilessly and emotionlessly biting into it's neck, twisting it, draining deer empty. After realising what he done, he runs away.

He kept running, until he arrived to the county. There were two black and expensive cars. Both of them captured him and put him at the backseats. He woke up in dark place, being interrogated by a man. "Kid. I have this weird feeling, that you are vampire." Alex visibly confused, said: "Of course I am not. Release me!" Man passed a bloodpack to him. Alex, after biting deer, wasn't satisfied enough. Two men untied him, as he grabs onto bloodpack, draining it empty, so plastic bag was completely empty. "Very good. You are a vampire. We are Camarilla." After a hour of introduction and interrogation, he was released..

Five years ago. Palomino Creek, 1999.

After finding out that his elders were killed, he saw a face of Vin Nadler. He held a deep urge to kill him worst way possible. He didn't want to be weak and he wanted a revenge. He used a discipline to keep himself concealed, as he saw Vin coming out of his mansion at horse. He was waiting for him patiently, as he revealed himself by stabbing Nadler in the arm. That strong attack made him drop down instantly. He dragged his body to the random house, as he sent another knife stab to torpor him. He lowered himself down, sinking his fangs into his neck and draining his blood.. He performed an act of Amaranth, as he realised what he did.. He didn't feel bad, he knew that he deserved it. After this, Vin Nadler ashed and Alex left to his motel room.. - for screenshots. (And yeah, I rolled for degeneration roll, had 2-3 successes onto it.)

Out of Character:

1.What kind of powers are you allowed to use in public? What stops you from using them? As long as they're not visual, like Dominate, Auspex or Presence. The Masquerade stops me from using them.

2.Someone has discovered you. He's planning on making a statement within a week, you have all the time to prepare. What do you do? Consider consequences of every sort of action. Putting down more than one option increases your chances of getting accepted. I'd try asking my friend with a dominate powers, capturing unknown guy and making friend use Dominate 3 - Forgetful Mind to erase his memories about what he saw and then burn/destroy all of hsi evidences. Consequences: none. He had an amnesia or something most likely, if he didn't tell anyone. I can try ghoulifying him, if he's worth of it and seems to be a good spy, due to discovering my own nature. Consequences: responsibility for his actions. Murder. No, it's not a good option, but it is an option. Consequences: "Hey, I saw a guy with extremely strong hands and extremely fast speed!" He dies. Might be suspicious. Convincing him or treating him powerful enough to make him shut his mouth. Either giving him money or something. Consequences: some of your shouts may be not enough and he might give out information for bigger price. Delete evidence. Consequences: whatever he says may be false without evidence.

3.An officer walks up to you and tells you to stay put, you are a wanted individual. In the struggle you both shed a good amount of blood, what could possibly happen in this scenario and how further can you avoid these dangerous encounters? Depends on what he'll arrest me for. Speeding? I'll just give up, it's not much of a problem. Terrorism? Alright, I'll do something against that. First of, I'll just make sure to either escape until they'll forget about me or kill a cop if I'll have valid reason. How to avoid it? Make sure to wear a mask or conceal your identity and clean tracks of your crime. Make sure nobody knows or assumes that it was you.

4.You mutter around town and notice a rather viscous looking hairy beast with claws stretching out of his arms. What could it possibly be and what could you possibly do about this? It can be either frenzied Gangrel or werewolf in war form. In both cases, I shouldn't do it alone and immeditealy message elders about what I saw. Going to him one at one is suicide, as he might kill me and if I'll ash, it'll be Masquerade breach for both of us. The Masquerade is always more important than two vampires lives. If we do it together, we might have more chances of calming him down and giving him a valid punishment for that.

5.You've been at the game for quite a while now. You are walking down a dark alley with your partner and three thugs come out of the shadowy corner, aiming their mundane weaponry at you. Should you be scared? I should be scared, as any firearm can be shot in head and kill any vampire, even elders or thin-bloods.

6.Considering your bloodline or clan, what sort of job would you be good at? Make a priority job and a side job in case you need one. Considering my bloodline or clan? Anything. But Parker is fiveteen years old, so I guess - nothing and nothing, since he's not legal yet.

Player information:

1.For how long have you been playing on Vampires, Werewolves and Humans roleplay?5+ years.

2.Make a list of your current and past characters.
Alex William Parker, Leon Diamond, Jeremiah Redwood, John Morgan, Constantine Leeser, Frisk Parker, Jonathan McConaughey.

3.Do you understand that by taking part of this race, you can be changed by the race moderators (or even admins) for the most simple reasons? If you are to apply and get accepted, you are to follow the race rules to the fullest extent and upon reaching zero masquerade points, lose your character. Have you read all of this and understood what's your part? Of course, I am not a newbie for these rules.

4.Post a screenshot (embedded with  code, no links) of your admin record and activity (include each personal account):

5.If there is anything you would improve/change regarding the vampire race, what would it be? Script buffs.
