Getting started. Character creation.
« on: December 06, 2017, 05:48:52 PM »
Step One - Beginning: Character concept.

First of all, you have to draw out your own character concept that is unique, but in terms of World of Darkness. No mages edgy teenagers or whatever people create nowadays. You don't create a character to pickpocket people either and gain money without any concept either. Try putting some effort into it, imagine your character, make it realistic (again. in terms of WoD). You can RP a homeless that got possessed by demon or vampire Ventrue-antitribu that acts like a pure Brujah. There's nothing limiting you.

You may create a character of any age, from any culture and from any nation. Egyptian female that got problems with documents of entry in America and tries to survive in suburban place. Russian mobster that is leader of some criminal organization linked with drug dealers.

You may choose it's demeanor and personality as well.

Step Two - Character Sheet: Redistributing dots of attributes.

Before proceeding into more advanced roleplay that includes rolls and usage of powers. You should edit your character sheet (by doing it, you write /cs to do so.). You've three categories: Physical (Strength, Dexterity, Stamina); Social (Charisma, Manipulation, Appearance); Mental (Perception, Wits, Intelligence). Your character automatically has one dot in each Attribute (Dexterity 1/5 etc.) You have 15 points to spread them around your Attributes (7/5/3). e.g. if your character is a fighter, you don't put everything in dexterity, strength and stamina and have your intelligence with 1 dot and etc. Your numbers are not that worth, roleplay is above all.

Step Three - Character Sheet: Redistributing dots of abilities.

Same as before. Put it realistically. You've 27 freebies to spend at your Attributes. (13/9/5). Attributes contain three sections: Talents, Skills, Knowledges. At this stage you may not put anything above 3. (For 4 and higher you must apply in character-related applications section.)

Step Four - Character Sheet: Redistributing dots of advantages.

Choose Backgrounds (5), and rate Virtues (7). Your character automatically has one dot in each Virtue.

Step Five - Character Creation: Finishing touches.

Record Humanity, Willpower. Spend freebie points (15). Optional: 15pt. of merits is max and you can put flaws as much as you want, but 8th dot won't transfer into freebies.
I can unban you only if you promise you won't order 100 pizzas at my home address.
