1.8.26a ~ 1.8.27
« on: February 03, 2016, 12:03:38 AM »
  • Bug fixes.
  • Vampire Regeneration ability has been removed. (The points spent in that ability have been refunded to your Learning Points.)
  • Undead no longer lose Food points over time. The food bar now decreases only upon vomiting or buring Blood Points.
  • Label system has been added. (Administrators can set your labels which are very versatile. The command to set/remove labels is /label. It works pretty much like the Werewolf forms labels.)

  • The character sheets system has been changed. (Your character sheets have been reset. Only an admin or a race moderator can upgrade traits that already have 3 points/dots. (Don't even think about getting 5 dots if you have a bad admin record. You need to have a valid reason for having more than 3 dots in a certain trait.)

Are the labels offering bonus stats if set?
Is the level concealment thing going to be scripted?
Nice Update.

I have 3 pages worth of arecord, But I've been clean for 3 straight months now and i am a 6th generation vampire. Is this enough for me to go 5/5 on certain traits such as brawl, alertness, athletics and dodge ? As i have a character of numerous centuries old who has masterd the arts of combat and his own reflexes. Nice update overall.

Removing hunger ... Meh. Dunno. So, we need blood just for using disciplines? Many won't just bother hunting humans for satisfying their's hunger but isntead have blood packs for combat situations or stuff like those.

Be thankful he removed the blood point loss for hunger.

Dunno... This is what makes a vampire ... a vampire - hiding in the corner, hunting humans in the alley way, sucking the blood and running off. I am not against this though.

So what qualifies as reason enough to go beyond three in a skill? And are admins restricted with this too? Do they need reasons to go beyond three?

Just dont like the part where we get even less points and we can't RP certain maxed stats due to arecord. Even tho it is more than needed right now.

Important Characters and their profiles.

Sakke Felix Nikolaus (25,500+ profile views!)

Labels are truly a great idea, and hopefully the new /cs system works out too. Thanks for the great update Rudy!

I'd reckon a good background ( story, job, race ) would be sufficient, along with a reasonable admin record.

We all know how much people enjoy having the following

5/5 on certain traits such as brawl, alertness, athletics and dodge

because It's basically the "Easy RP Kill" Set. Activate celerity and potence, do your rolls, recieve your reductions due to having a bunch of 5/5's and bam. Easy peasy.

I strongly support this update, and I sincerely hope that the whole 5/5 regulations will be enforced properly. Nothing is worse than people with bad attidutes and absurdly overpowered character. I also believe that one of the reasons why people prefer to script instead of RP against these sorts of characters is because these characters have been built to win, and If they fail at it then the players gets very salty which results in having big admin records.

TL;DR

Very good update. I believe this will balance things out a little more and will allow people to choose RP over Script much more.
