My name is Persephassa Olympia. I was born in Greece on the island of Crete, and some of my earliest memories are tied to that place. Even after moving to the United States when I was young, that part of my life stayed with me and shaped how I see people, family, and community. Growing up between two cultures taught me to listen carefully, adapt easily, and be mindful of perspectives different from my own.
The family I grew around placed a lot of importance on doing the right thing, even when it isn't easy. I was raised to be observant and mindful of how my actions affect others and while my upbringing was a bit unconventional at times(big understatement!), it taught me independence and gave me a strong sense of responsibility, which I'm grateful for.
Education has always been important to me. I have spent much of my life learning through reading and researching and I've always been encouraged to ask questions and seek understanding rather than take things at face value. I'm naturally curious, a little quiet at first but that's because I tend to learn best by listening and paying close attention.
