A metis condition or metis disfigurement (as it is sometimes referred to), is a term applied to the innate flaws characteristic to the Metis breed. Every metis character has at least one deformity, chosen during character creation. While some deformities may have minor benefits, the bad always outweighs the good. Any metises caught not roleplaying any deformities will be flogged.
Complete forms only. The character will stand out, burn easily in the sun, and have vision problems.
Your eyes turn black in darkness or twilight, creating a menacing appearance and making vision difficult.
You reflect your Crinos form on all reflective surfaces. Some Theurges might see this as favorable, indicating an honest character.
Extremely large birthmark.
Fits of Madness
Mental illness plagues you on a periodic basis. Whatever your malaise, you tend to fall to pieces when you get stressed.
Renders the Metis unable to regenerate.
A unicorn-like horn may be considered favorable among the Children of Gaia, as they revere Unicorn, whereas stag-like antlers may be seen as a favor from Stag by the Fianna.
Human face in all forms.
Your senses are extremely acute, to the point where you easily suffer disorientation and sensory overload.
Weak Immune System
Werewolves are normally very resistant, even immune, to ordinary disease.
You lack that level of supernatural constitution, and in fact are more vulnerable to ailments than most humans are.
Severe Intellectual disability.
This may leave the character especially reviled by the Black Furies, as Voula Kostikidas is.
Lameness (walking at significantly reduced speed due to leg problems)
Monstrously ugly in all forms.
Permanent foul odor.
Puny (small with severely underdeveloped muscles).
Severe silver allergy, to the point of blistering when even near it.
Third eye in middle of forehead: This may be seen as a sign of wisdom by Stargazers.
Tough, itchy, thick skin.
Your skin is tough as old leather, and considerably less attractive. You have no coat to speak of, merely a few patches of fur here and there across your wrinkled, dry hide.
