The stories of many.

The Blink

I pushed myself up, as I smashed my hand against the alarm clock while yawning, I placed my slippers as I got off my bed, moving slowly towards the bathroom, after getting out of my room of course. I glanced at my grandfather as I walked towards the bathroom, He was training martial arts, using a variety of maneuvers on a dummy. After finishing my business in the bathroom, I went back into my room and put on my regular clothing as I heard my grandfather sigh from a distance, clearly exhausted.
After having a nice and warm meal I went into the training room with my grandfather, we painted some runes onto our palms with what seemed to me was Ink. Soon after doing so we began sparing, improving our martial arts. After finishing the spar, in which I won of course, I heard a knocking sound coming from the entrance door of our house. As always grandpa escorted me to my room, locking my door afterwords. As usual I hear two men enter the house, shouting, I lean onto my door trying to hear what they are saying but fail miserably. After a while of shouting I hear a strange noise, a noise that indicated that someone was struggling.. No, it was the sound of someone choking! I realized as I focused my chi into a single strike, I performed a thunder kick onto my bedroom door which made it fall down. I rushed to the room my grandfather was in. I widened my eyes, shaking in shock as I saw my grandfather being choked by a pale individual, while another pale man was speaking to my grandfather in a cold and condescending voice...
"What the hell are you doing?!" I shouted with all my strength at the two men, the one that was speaking to my grandfather smirked at me as he said: "O-ho-ho! You didn't tell us you had a grandson Mason, but hey we ain't the bad guys here kiddo, your grandpa here has been a BAD BOY! I widened my eyes still in shock, being only able to speak a bit as the man's dominant voice was consuming the room, after two seconds of silence the man who was now speaking to me snapped his fingers, and the pale individual choking my grandfather threw him down at my feet, letting him slide against the floor. I rushed to my grandfather's side and helped him get up, but he was immediately knocked back down by the pale man which said: "Listen Mason, you either give us money, or you give us something worth money, or I can take your grandson instead." I finally calmed down a bit after seeing my grandfather not being choked anymore, hope was restored in me, hope to survive this terrifying experience.. My grandfather told them that he has a enchanted silver blade in the storage room. Seemingly excited the pale man that spoke rushed to our storage room, until he found the sword, walking out with a smirk on his face as he took the blade out of the scabbard, gazing at its shinning silver blade, then suddenly I saw my grandfather in a focusing position and stance, and then the sword's blade suddenly caught on fire. The dominant pale individual tossed the knife into the air with panic, as I blinked, I saw my grandfather in the air catching the sword by the handle, as he dropped down he managed to thrust his blade through one of the pale men's skin like paper. I remember the fear in the eyes of the man who was penetrated by the silver blade, he stood there in disbelief as the sword once again caught on fire, and turned him into nothing but ashes. The remaining pale man leaped back with abnormal speed, he moved like, something I have never before seen, I simply cannot describe it with words, other then a blurred image  going around the room. "You motherfucker!" the man shouted, as he hissed at my grandfather with fangs, I suspected it was a vampire, but I never thought these unholy shits would dare to come in my grandfather's house. I blinked once more, and saw my grandfather now standing beside me, holding his sword with a silver blade firmly, as he shouted at the pale man, saying: "Come!" The pale man grinned, as a red aura starting to go through his skin, even from a distance of an medium sized room, I could feel his power coming from him, it was something I have never before felt, but I wasn't afraid, because grandpa was standing next to me, of course I was cautious, but this was no time to simply stand there and hope everything's gonna be okay, I needed to help. My grandfather and the pale individual ran at each other, the pale individual was using his fists, while my grandfather used the sword of course, once they got close to each other a clenched fist was already at my grandfathers face, only inches away, but then I blinked once again and saw my grandfather now above the man, in the air in fact, seeing him drop down onto the pale individual thrusting his back with the sword which once again caught the blade on fire and turned the man into nothing but mere ashes. After the men were nothing more but ashes, Grandfather told me to pack my belongings and that we must go. After a day of running, we managed to escape from our little town, and got inside a forest with the "Danger, Wolves Ahead!" sign. The tree's in that forest were quite tall, and after traveling a couple of hours in it, I thought we were lost, but the confidence in my grandfather's face told me that everything was going to be okay. After some time we found a shack in the forest, we decided to spend a night in it, as it was already midnight and it was incredibly cold. The wind blew hard as grandfather opened the shacks door, which we then entered. Nobody was inside of the shack, there was an old bed a small wooden chair, and a window, that was it. My grandfather allowed me to sleep on the bed, while he decided to remain on the chair. During that night I was too confused, excited and scared to fall asleep, I was basically rolling in the bed constantly. I decided to hop off the bed and go to the shack's window, gazing outside as the moonlight shined at me, I smiled for a second, until I noticed a red dot being aimed at my forehead, I widened my eyes as I saw a flash in the distance, I immediately ducked down and a silenced shot was heard as it pierced the window, which made my grandfather wake up. I rushed to his side as grandfather said: "Come here" with a sharp voice, I kept my body lowered as I hoped everything was going to be okay. Only one fire was shot, it was silence then, my grandfather took this chance to get prepared and such, a cold wind opened the door blowing furiously at us, but my grandfather stood tall as two men wearing masks and black suits appeared outside of the little shack. "If death is what you seek, you've come to the right place." My grandfather said, as he aimed the enchanted sword at them. One of the two men chuckled which led us to hearing a strangle howl coming from the distance. The two men looked spooked so to speak after the howl was done, as I blinked the two men were no longer outside the shack. But an abnormally large wolf was alongside a few other normal wolves, who then spoke: "Normally we don't give warnings to uninvited guests who enter the sacred lands, but considering you were escaping from the Wyrm's agents, I'll give you only one warning, get the fuck out." The wolf spoke, perfectly in English, it was amazing but frightening at the same time, which led to my grandfather saying: "Thank you." as he packed our belongings and we once again moved out of the shack, happy to be alive, upon exiting the said shack we saw the two masked men in suits being dragged out of the forest, towards the exit of it.

My Emotion

"I'll be home soon!" I shouted, as I left my house closing the door lightly, I ran down my street was I looked around, not interested in anything other then getting to my local store. Few minutes went by, and I finally got to my destination, a man holding a cigar was standing in front of the store, smoking as the rain dropped down around him and onto his black umbrella. I got into the store, only to hear a fade whisper get sent into my ear, "Be careful kid." I widened my eyes, as I tilted my head towards the man as I entered the store, I was greeted by the lady working there, she was pale as usual, with a faint smile on her face, I greeted her back, as I did all my shopping, and left the store afterwords, the man was gone by then.

I returned to my house with no distractions, I placed the groceries onto the kitchen table, and went to sleep.
The next day, I woke up feeling nauseous, I ran to my bathroom and threw up, I smelled rotten corpse, It was disgusting, something I never experienced in my life, yet I somehow knew what that smell was. After finishing my work in the bathroom, I said hello to my family and had lunch, I greeted my pale sister, my father and my pale mother, who for some reason never really left the house during day, anyway I told them what happened, but they just told me its nothing to worry about, my father seemed anxious as always, doing his work at his desk, I didn't pay much attention to it. Night came, and I was extremely tired, my father came to my room to tuck me, during so I asked him, "Why are mom and sis' always pale, dad?" "Don't worry son, its all gonna be alright, go to sleep now." He said, as he finished tucking me in, he exited my room with a faint smile on his face, closing the door as the cold wind ventured into my room.

I woke up in the middle of the night, due to some noise in my room, I looked around while rubbing my eyes, seeing my father pack some stuff into a backpack. "D-Dad..?" I spoke, only for him to dash to my bed and hold onto my mouth. "Shh.." He whispered as he returned to packing things into the backpack. During ao he tilted his head slightly towards me, telling me to get dressed. I listened to him, after I got dressed my dad gave me my backpack, and we quietly got out of the house.
We got into his car and hit the road.

After driving a while in silence my dad finally spoke.
"Son.. Mom and your sister, they aren't the same as us..." He said with a rather scared and anxious expression. As he kept his hands on the steering wheel, he looked forward, speaking to me without even laying an eye on me. "S-So, when are we going back?" I asked with a curious expression, but got no answer from my father who simply kept driving the car in silence. After a few minutes of driving we got to a road that was basically next to a huge forest. And that's when dad started speaking once more. "We-.. are never going back." He said as he looked at me with a faint smile, "You are too young to get caught up in this... I won't let those unholy things take you." He said with a rather sharp and serious tone. I opened my mouth, seeing a bright yellow light flash before my eyes, "Look out!" I shouted, but it was too late, we were hit, I don't know what it was back then, I naturally assumed it was a car, or truck, didn't know who it was though, all I did know was that it hurt like hell. Our car was hit, we were pushed off the road, rolling down a small hill right into the forest. Fortunately we had our seat belts on, so we weren't hurt too roughly.

"S-Son are you alright?!" My father asked me, as he kicked the windshield off the car with his legs, as our car doors were blocked by a damn tree. "Y-Yeah." I responded, as we both crawled out of the car, gazing up at the hill, only to see my mother, and sister, standing there with the most terrifying expressions I have ever seen. My dad grabbed onto my shoulder and we started running deeper into the dark forest. My dad wasn't able to get his backpack, but I was able to get mine, so I took out a flashlight to help us out. After a few minutes of running, we took a break at some tall tree. We sat ourselves down next to it, and I started searching through my backpack, I found some of my clothing, junk food, and normal food my dad use to make, I passed some food to my dad, and took some for myself. It was quiet, and it started raining once more. The rain covered most of the sound around us, and my dad seemed more anxious and paranoid then before. I looked into the distance only to see a shadowy figure dash out of the bushes, at me. Once It got closer, I realized it was my pale sister, who then grabbed onto my neck, strangling me. I gazed at her in the eyes in fear and confusion, only to notice a pair of fangs in her mouth, as she spoke, "He's coming with us, father, you are not needed, so soon enough mother will come and kill you, so be a dear and stay where you are." Dad shouted in anger, as he tackled my sister down, making her release me. He took out a pocket knife out of his pocket, and stabbed her in the chest, more specifically the heart area. She gazed at him with a dreaded and cold look, as she threw father away. Meanwhile I was coughing so hard, trying to grasp air as quickly as possible, seeing the fight go on. My so called "sister" took the knife out of her chest, grunting in pain, as she dashed towards father with incredible speed in an attempt to thrust the blade into his chest. Father grabbed onto her arm before she could do so, father widened his eyes as he shouted with anger and hatred in his voice, "Stay away from my son!" I pushed myself up, as my sister was suddenly knocked back from my father, who then rushed to my side, with his fists clenched. "Lets go." Father said to me, I nodded as I grabbed my backpack, only to be interrupted by a familiar voice, coming in front of me. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that this person was my mother. "Leaving so soon, darling?" She said, as she dashed towards me, with struggle she managed to pierce through what seemed to me was an invisible wall. Her hand was lunged at me, aiming towards my neck, but my father pushed me aside, and so he was grappled. Upon being grabbed on the neck, my father suddenly had a new knife in his hand, which he used to cut my mothers hand off. She shouted in pain and stumbled back a few feet, my "sister" rushed to her side, giving me and father a chance to escape, and so we did.

After a few minutes of running, Father started choking, he began to coughing blood, desperately trying to get that precious air, but he couldn't, I tried helping him, asking him whats wrong, after a few seconds of choking on his own blood, he fell down, I couldn't take it, I stumbled back from his body and tripped on a branch, causing me to fall down, I covered my eyes and started crying, but I felt something touching my leg, I wiped the tears off my face and looked, it was Dad, with his last remaining breath he said to me: "H-Hide" I widened my eyes, and pushed myself up, I grasped onto dad's hand and cried for a few seconds, before I let him go and swiftly climbed up a tree next to his body, while wiping the huge amount of tears off my face, I gazed down, and in a matter of seconds I saw my sister being on top of Dad's body, she extracted her fangs out and dig them in Dad's neck, I was fueled, fueled by anger and nothing else, I couldn't control my emotions, I leaped off the tree and kicked my sister off Dad, I dashed at her while she was still disoriented, and punched her in the face with all my might, I felt my legs and hands were burning, but the physical pain was something I didn't worry about at that moment, I punched and punched, and PUNCHED her, until her face was no more. Soon enough her entire body turned to ashes.

And once again I saw mother standing in front of me with an angered expression, but I feared not, as I stared right into her eyes, as we dashed at each other and began to fight. I was no match for her speed, I sent a punch at her face, but she ducked down down and swept me off my feet. I tried to kick her but she blocked it with her hands, and soon enough she got up and threw me at a tree. "I hate you!" I shouted out of anger as my body hit the tree, the pain was tremendous, but I didn't care, what I did care for at the moment, was my father and nothing else, all my emotions of love and joy for my sister and mother were gone, nothing was left but hate and despair. I shouted my heart out at her, but she dashed at me with inhuman speed, I remembered at that exact moment, my father's blade, and so my emotions were put into my right hand, and with these emotions my father's blade was formed into my palm, I grabbed onto the handle, and parried my mother's attack. Her hand was cut off once again, acid like blood dripped out of her arm, as I stood my ground, ready to continue the fight. She spit at me with what seemed to me was acid, I squinted my eyes and dodged the spit, looking behind me I saw that the spit indeed was acid, as it melted a branch behind me. I looked at the blade in my hand, and thought to myself that this wasn't my limit, but this was reality. And so I thought bigger, larger, heavier, and spawned a sword into my other hand with all the anger I had within me, I dashed at my mother with a knife in one hand, and a sword in the other, I attempted to cut her head off but once again, she ducked down and tried to sweep me, little did she know I was prepared for that. I jumped up, and due to having extra range with the sword, I pinned her leg onto the ground with it. She screamed in pain, but I didn't care. I was only 13 at the time, so I was able to stand on the handle as I watched her scream in extreme pain. "You-... are not my mother." I said, as I leaped off the sword, and sliced her neck off with the knife. Just like sis' her corpse turned into ashes.

It stopped raining, the sun's ray's shined on me, I looked up, at the worm and bright sun, smiling as the tears dropped down my face, my knife and sword disappeared as I chuckled desperately.
I heard a voice behind me, upon turning around I saw a man in black, the same man that was back at the grocery store. "Well done kid, guess I should welcome you." He said with a slight smirk on his face, I gazed at him with a cold expression, and asked: "Welcome me.. Welcome me to what?"
"Well to the Inquisition of course." He said, and so we set foot out of the forest, and left the place I will never come back to.

"What the hell are you doing?!"

I shouted with all my strength at the two men, the one that was speaking to my grandfather smirked at me as he said: "O-ho-ho!

The Blink

I pushed myself up, as I smashed my hand against the alarm clock while yawning, I placed my slippers as I got off my bed, moving slowly towards the bathroom, after getting out of my room of course. I glanced at my grandfather as I walked towards the bathoom, He was training martial arts, using a variety of maneuvers on a dummy.
