The Dreaming Loser
A beer can was held on his right hand. A young man, sat on the couch watching old TV shows. Sometimes he wondered what was he doing? Was his life limited to this? Was he destined to be something bigger, a path. To his cold and lonely life, the purpose of his life hadn’t been found yet.
It was that time that the TV showed a boxing match. An astonishing match between the two contender of world champion. One was challenging the then reigning world heavyweight boxing champion. It was a match between Larry Foulke and Dimitry Turgenov. An amazing aspiring young boxer, Larry quickly climbed into the stairs of ranking and finally got the shot to challenge for the title of world champion. Strikes after strikes was thrown, the barraging style of Larry Foulke a good match against Dimitry who tend to end his opponents in one clean hit.
This young man who was watching the fight, felt astonished by the amazing combat of the two top heavyweight fighters. The warmth of the passion between the two professional boxer had gone far, as far as touching this young man’s will to live and to become something bigger than himself, a passion that was strong enough to even influence everyone who watched it, this young man felt that passion and somehow he felt that, this sport was his call, he was made for this sport, it was his destiny become a boxer. The fight ended with Dimitry one-shotted the young and exhausted Larry. That was the beginning of Rad Dillion’s path as a boxer.
