Night Stalkers

Most remain oblivious to the true potential that they've never sparked, their lives robbed from them before they could actually see any other option in this life. Some would be grateful for what they are- others would despise what they've become - all would surrender to their hunger eventually. I wonder if that sometimes makes them reflect on all the changes they've passed ever since their death... or they merely ignore it on purpose.

Gaia's Children

Sometimes I envy them, sometimes I pity them. To know your purpose in life and dutifully serve it would mean not having to come against many contradictions that our kind experiences; yet at the same time, to be bound to this duty would mean to forever remain blind - much like attempting to see the whole Tellurium through a door gap. To believe in an ideal is to be willing to betray it - but can they make such radical step?

First Creators

It's an amusing thought, but of all creatures you could encounter in Tellurium, these seem to have greatest issue with their 'parent'. I know of them; Celestials with immense power, their true shape and strength torn away from them with millennia of imprisonment within the deepest depths of Hell. Each time I look, each time I gaze upon the spark that corresponds to this initial Making... I feel temptation to follow, to learn what they can give. But knowing this much? The price is bigger than payoff.

Awakened Ones

We hold so many differences, so many truths, and yet no ultimate Truth. If I were to compare us to someone, I'd say we're like lost children that are given toys too big for them; some eventually learn and use those toys to make something great, and some end up hurting themselves. Time and time again I see it - there's a large reason why exactly only very few of us make it far. You'd be surprised, but it's not the world, the lack of cooperation or anything like that... it's us, being us.

Relations

“Not all of them are bad...”

“Sometimes I even wonder why they decided to stick to me. Because of friendship, love? Or perhaps they wanted to use me all along? Is it pity, or some twisted obligation to keep what you cannot change under close watch and control? At times, I believed the worst - and they suggested only that.”

“With time, I understood some of them are even... nice.”

Arthur

“Oh... him.”

“Feels odd to owe someone your life, your redemption, the part of your knowledge and power, and... ability to actually see someone as a friend. No, you know, this would be too cheap. Too little. Not enough.”

“A brother from another mother.”

“I never imagined someone would do so much for me; quite often, I suspected that he had an ulterior motive, that he wanted something in return. I'm a horrible person... so why would he even do all of this, I wondered? But with time, I realized that he's a friend - and there's nothing more to it.”

“One of the few I'd actually risk it all for, and everything I could ever have.”

Kassiani

“Have you ever seen the grace of huntress under bright shine of the stars?”

“That would be her. It's quite hilarious how all of this started off, really... because I remember loathing her. I remember pitching everyone against her, and even as she genuinely tried to make attempt to communicate with all of us, I was the one driving her away. You'd think it would end there... with one of us putting a blade to the throat of another.”

“Except it didn't. I've seen something in her that I haven't noticed before.”

“I saw a reflection of myself in her. An exile with a mark of curse upon her, one that lost her home and her rightful heritage. At that point, even I couldn't help but feel bad for that... and feel connected too. Perhaps, that's exactly when this spark was ignited.”

“So much that I feel at times the skies would burn for it...”

Katarina

“I've never known her too well.”

“Sometimes, I feel that's for the best. You know, whenever I heard of your past dealings, I couldn't help but feel that you're using him... the only valuable friend I have, the only brother left in this world. And I felt like I hated you for it.”

“But you kept him steady, did you not? Despite the heartache he confessed to, despite the pain you unknowingly caused... you uplifted him, so much that he's become something better. Perhaps this has taken a toll on his mind and soul, but he's better off that way. Better off not being so... vulnerable.”

“For that, I can only thank you.”

Takeshi

“Part of me knew your kind are never good... and it's precisely what you probably thought of me. But can I hold judgment above you when you've shown nothing but kindness to me?”

“I know how it's like, to be judged by others, to be ostracized for just the way things happened; how it's like to be subjected to torment, and then be haunted by the sins of your past. That's what it was, wasn't it? That fateful day...”

“But I'll find out more about it. The truth only escapes for so long, and I never stop in being more. One day, I know. For now... when the laughter dies, an angel cries...”

“Goodbye.”

Isaac

“When a Child of the Night shows you this much kindness? Color me surprised.”

“Honestly, I couldn't help but assume that he's just like the rest at first - controlling, violent, perhaps even abusive. Though, the more I discovered about him, the more I realized that it's just a man that happens to have a pair of fangs and few centuries behind him, one that does his best to uphold whatever resemblance of Order the awful lot of them can have.”

“We're often taught that we shouldn't stick around their kind, that they're too dangerous... but really, what's not dangerous nowadays?”

Ragon

“You know...”

“When I was a child, I used to think monsters aren't real, that the shadow people and boogeymen are just part of my imagination. It's only then I discovered that they're very much real and that they walk among us. But... to meet one so close, and to suffer at hands of one? It's an entirely different story.”

“It's a reminder of mortality, and reminder of just what type of beasts exist out there.”

“I've seen him. I've spoken to him. I've been warned about him... and yet, I can't help but feel that there's more. He wasn't always like this, was he? Something drove him over the edge. Something horrible - much like something he's become.”

“What did it take?”

“And then, there is him.”

“I want to tell him to run. I want to scream, to shout that he should fight back. Everything I ever experience, I still see it - I understand that I'm ripping his flesh off, that I'm hurting him; no matter how much I repeat that, nothing seems to change. And by the time I can utter a coherent word?”

“It's too late. For me and for them.”

The English language is like a blade in three ways. It can cut deep when wielded with competence. It appreciates pageantry. And like the blade it does not care for gender.

Thanks for all the feedback & replies!

Updated:
- Relations section.

This includes characters that Rhys has closely interacted with (and characters I've found pictures of). If we've roleplayed & you're not included, it's probably because I couldn't find your picture.
