3. Essay(Take your time when answering these questions. At least one healthy paragraph is expected per question)
3.1 Tell us some things about yourself:
Flawed workaholic. I may no longer be a passionate and enthusiastic rookie, nor am I anymore in my physical prime. With age you learn though. What I nowadays lack in strength, stamina and dextritiy I make up with experience, intellect and wits. I see myself as stubborn and honest to a fault, but also as an effective investigator. I'm not very good at talking about myself, so I think I'd do better if asked specific questions.
3.2 Provide an overview of your education and upbringing:
I was fortunate to have grown up in a happy home. My father, a now former Marine Corps officer, had a big influence on me getting into police work. I possess a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Boston. My mother stayed at home and worked at retail. Overall, there isn't much to add as I feel that my upbringing, besides the brief details already mentioned, had much effect on the person that I am today. Nothing of... Note.
3.3 Why have you decided to join the Sheriff's Departemnt?
As of recent I've re-visited the realization that police and detective work are my calling and indeed the things I should occupy my mind with. I'm feeling somewhat rejuvenated and ready to work within a law enforcement agency once more. A new place and a fresh start seems ideal at the moment and given unfortunate and personal past circumstances. Such circumstances I rather keep to myself, unless you insist on an elaboration, but that would still be something I rather do in person.
3.4 What are your expectations from this job?
I'm expecting that I'll be allowed to resume my career from where I left off in the sense of continueing investigative work. I'm hoping that my experience and expertise would help bring a positive contribution to both the department as well as the town as a whole. I expect to both learn something new as well as to perhaps teach my future co-workers something of my own.
3.5 Define the skills you possess that are well suited for the department.
As it stands, I have twelve years of experience as a law enforcement officer, eight of which were spend as a robbery & homicide detective. I understand not only the nature of the job, but also most, if not all of it's do's, don'ts and similar intricacies.
3.6 What were you previously employed as? Provide a brief overview of your past careers.
