A school to ashes.
Around thirties year ago, there was a boy. He'd was smart and could do a lot of things. His name was Callum Baker he was sportive and very creative. But being one of the best in the class had his cost... Callum was being bullied a lot. Because of his skin and other things. He'd loved his mom and he loved his dad and they loved him. One day Callum was done with football and went for a shower at his school. There he was being beaten up in the clothing room by the whole class. He'd screamed: ''No! No leave me alone! I haven't done nothing!'' But they didn't stop. Callum snapped and became angry and there came a huge shockwave of fire out of Callum setting the kids on fire. They all screamed: ''Aaah! Help it burns! It burns!'' Callum could only smile. Some we're smart, some not so smart. In their last moments of living some decided to jump into the shower when others decided to run into the hallway and into classrooms for help. Well... Guess what huge chaos! When one stormed in the classroom he'd set things on fire on his way only to drop dead later. Kids in the classroom started screaming and some even caught on fire. Slowly the whole school started taking fire. Callum decided he had to get the fuck out of there as he quickly ran outside in tears. How could he have done this? The whole school burned down so many innocents... He ran straight home and told his father and mother that the school caught on fire. The police and fire department investigated where the fire could have started. But how and by who... Remains a mystery. The kids who survived weren't the kids who bullied Callum, they we're all dead. Burned down to the ground like little ashes. Callum discovered a great power inside himself but he'd had to find out what it was and how.
The library.
Callum's school was closed for a long time, it had to be rebuild and this dramatic effect on the town changed it a lot. Callum was a reader and decided to not sit still. He went to the library for a good book. Once inside the library he walked up to a shelf and found a book named: ''The secrets of the World: By Ikan San'' It stood in the fantasy section so he decided to give it a try. He took it out and he'd had to blow some dust of it. He'd took it to the table and opened it. He discovered that the book was laying on tin ice of being destroyed. It was an old one and the writing was all done by pen. So he started to give it a try. The was actually no first chapter he'd opened it and he read: ''Physic powers are no lie, moving things with your mind, moving your soul out of your body, reading people's mind and setting things on fire is real.'' Callum became interested and started reading the book at home, in the bus, in bed or on a plane. He read it. It learned him a lot. Even for himself he'd read a lot of crazy shit about vampires - mages and so on. But that didn't took interest of Callum as he'd thought it was fake. How ever how this man described moving object with his mind and setting things on fire. Callum gave it a try on how he described it. He meditated a lot set focu for a long time on a candle in hope he could light it up. It didn't work for him though, some times he saw a spark but he had to practice more as he'd felt he could really do this.
One day he has read the book so far in which explained exactly how to trigger a fire. He'd follow the details and he'd focused on a candle. And boom! Yes it was lighten up! Callum felt like he'd achieved something. And started doing every single day a training as the book described for him. Every evening and morning. Light the candle in your room up. This way you have muscle memory and cannot be forgotten easily on how to light fire once you've done it for a long time. This went good for Callum and he did so. He even light up the fireplace sometimes when his parents aren't watching and he enjoyed his power. Although no body may know.
Up on reading the book Callum discovered he could create higher flames and so he decided to give it a try. Having his focus on the fireplace and he already really beliefs in himself he can do this. He light up the fireplace with a palm of a flame!. Callum smiled...
Everything has his prize.
Sometimes Callum accidently set things on fire by just looking at it. He tries his best ofcourse to put it out after but sometimes a tree was gone, or a car was set on fire. Which the case of putting onfire was always keep unknown for the fire department and the police. Callum decided to remain quiet about it and learn more to control and greaten up his power. Until one day he has woken himself up in the middle of the night by a nightmare to find out he has set his house on fire. His door was blocked and he had to jump out of the window. How ever... He failed to get his mother and father out of the house and killing them in the progress. Police and the Fire-Department arrived and Callum had to claim he didn't know how it happend. But Callum surely knew how it was happened but of course he can't say shit. He was eighteen so he stood in his own feet. The police couldn't offer him a home. With his book and some clothes he took off. He'd stumbled across an old man with a hoodie and the man only said: ''Everything has a prize''.
The Mentor.
The old man introduced himself to Callum as Ikan San and Callum was surprised to find the writer of the book he was reading. ''I think you have something from me'' Said Ikan towards Callum. Callum looks at him stuttering under his breath as he gives the book back. Ikan San smiled and said: ''Don't worry i'm here to help you. Come with me.'' So Callum did and moved in with Ikan San. Ikan San literally told everything there was to know towards Callum.
Vampires, mages, werewolves and shamblers. Callum world was upside down on knowing so. Callum had to learn on how to shoot guns and how to brawl. But as well on how to focus on his great power inside him and how to control it.
The Hunt.
After a couple of months of training, it was time for Callum's first hunt said Ikan. So he did, he went on a hunt on a vampire Ikan San was investigating over a year now. Getting the vampire in an alley and then setting him on flames wasn't an easy task for Callum as they of course fight back. Callum set the vampire on fire, but he fought back and gave Callum an amazing scratch across his left eye, losing it in the process. Callum got mad and picked up his gun firing three explosive shells towards the vampire's head. Ashing it. This was the first hunt of Callum with Ikan and there were more to follow.
An alley in need.
Ikan san introduced Callum to Gregory Divand. An old arms dealers that deals in great weapons. He'd had such a big armory even the military liked it. From Indicairy bullets to heavy armor equipment. He'd sells almost everything. Callum bought a few items from him. And he'd took Gregory on a hunt some times. They became good friends and drank a lot together. Callum has saved Gregory's back manytime and vice versa. I don't see this friendship breaking up any soon.
Taking his leave.
His last hunt was one of the craziest. There was this vampire who was a necromancer and gave Callum a hard time by cursing him. He'd sworte to destroy Callum even if it was his last thing he did. So the necromancer was rising a shambler each time Callum killed one. Every god damn time. Callum then followed the lead to of all the Shamblers and found the necromancer. Putting him on fire and... Again another school. Callum was unable to handle this kind of damage he has done with his power and became deranged with Hysteria. Since then he tries to keep his powers low but has a hard time doing it now he's deranged. He's been moving time to time to another town/city. Until he arrived in Angel Pine. Where he didn't got greeten so well..
