Did you even see what Rudy said before making a unnecessary rant?
It does’t throw off Discern, it rather increases difficulty.

How on earth did you see what I wrote as some sort of rant? I suggest learning what "rant" even means before trying to throw the word about as if you have any idea the fuck you're talking about :D

My intention was to simply shine some light on a power which Apache didn't exactly understand very well.
Also, once again - you're wrong. It doesn't and shouldn't increase the difficulty nor decrease any successes on the Hunter's part. But it seems Rudy's got a different view on the power so successes might just be deducted from the Hunter's roll.

Subtracting successes from the Hunter's roll isn't such a big deal and gives the Merits a script purpose.
Actually, it shouldn't be subtracted imo due to the fact we can still see if they're breathing and can know if their body is emitting heat even if they use blush of health since I heard blush of health only makes my vampire appear "Healthy" and less "Pale" in comparison of other Vampires which makes it easier for them to fit in.

which makes it easier for them to fit in.

Exactly, which makes sense for Hunters to find difficulty detecting/catching him and should decrease the successes they get from the roll, even if the sheer reason is to give the merits a script usage.

see if they're breathing and can know if their body is emitting heat

Those are covered by Master of the Masquerade merit.

Seriously, can you guys not make this any more annoying for us, these merits are mostly used by social characters who don't even wanna bother with hunters and other battlecucks, we don't have the 5/5 potence or the incendiary grenades to stand up against you guys, our Presence/Dominate and seduction attempts are countered by just a Conviction point spent. Not to mention, there's 0 ways for us vampires to detect hunters.

I can script the Blush of Health Merit to negate 2 successes from Discern power.

Mind shield is slightly difficult to script as it's effect can last for days and it isn't that easy to write a code that recognizes the amplitude and duration of the effect. But, it's scriptable, yes.
Maybe for permanent effect users? And for temporal effects maybe ppls can use the permanent code and then when it's time to disable the rpf the admin can take off that code as well
