  • Bug fixes.
  • "/forumname" is a newly implemented command for the purpose of securing your account. (It is strongly recommended to set your "/forumname" for the purpose of recovering your password. Note that accounts without a valid forum name (and e-mail registered to it) won't be able to reset their password.)
  • The "diablerist" option has been added to the "/addon" command tree. (It sets the Vampire to diablerist status which can be used for the aura reading script. Contact an administrator if you have diablerist character.)
  • The main supernatural powers for discerning a subject's race have been scripted:

    All these newly scripted powers have the same targeting system; Holding down the aim key (default key: RMB) while looking at the target until you get the green triangle over the target's head:

    Once the target is acquired, the power is activated by pressing the conversation no key (default key: N); the traits will be rolled according to the system used in the specific game line (Scent of the True Form in the example below):

    Powers based on aura reading can get the emotional reading of the subject by holding down the walk key (default key: Alt). Note that emotion reading script is less discrete as the target is prompt to select their character's current strongest emotion:

    After a failed roll, the difficulty for the next roll is automatically increased by 1 (unless you change scenes). If the roll botches, the server will tell you that you've got a wrong reading, it's up to you to interpret the botch however you want to.

    The powers:
    Spoiler for Vampires/Hybrids:
    • Aura Perception (Auspex ••)
      The power can be used only once per scene and if the roll has resulted in a failure or botch, you won't be able to use the power for the rest of the day.
    Spoiler for Fera/Hybrids:
    • Scent of the True Form (Rank 1)
      Note that at least 3 successes are required to "sniff out" the scent of every fera and most other supernatural characters; 4 successes are required to discern a magi, ghoul, fomor, dhampir, thrall, etc..., imbued always register as normal humans.
    Spoiler for Mages:
    • Aura Perception (Mind/Spirit 1)
      Mages can use "/(tog)gle(q)uintessence" to enable your Aura Perception Quintessence automatic expenditure for this rote. (A Quintessence point will be used to lower the difficulty of the Arete roll.)
    Spoiler for Hunters:
    • Discern (Judgement 1)
    Spoiler for Demons:
    • Supernatural Awareness (Demon Innate Ability)

how do the aura/race related merits/flaws work tho, specifically the ones that hide one's aura or race-related characteristics (in case of discern)?

Only Deceptive Aura Merit and Acute Sense (Works only if it is for the sense of smell and only for Scent of the True Form) are scripted for now and it works only against powers based on aura reading, which means it won't work for Scent of the True Form or Discern (Judgement 1).

Any other Merits/Flaws I should script in?

Acute Sense is scripted and it gives you -2 difficulty on Scent of the True form Gift. Note that it works only if it is for the sense of smell. You need to have the Merit properly described and formatted.

Correct me if I'm wrong, afaik Discern (Judgement 1) works in such a way that it allows its user to notice the abnormalities of a supernatural (so not the aura or their scent, just some minor details and characteristics) and identify them among humans/mortals.

In these cases, imo, merits like Blush of Health (VtM) and Master of the Masquerade (LotC, Toreador), etc. should be able to slip past Discern (Judgement 1) and vampires should still appear as mortals to the specific hunter(s).
